About This Service
Personal Care That Puts the Person First
Personal care is one of the most intimate forms of support we provide – and that is exactly why we treat it with the highest levels of professionalism, sensitivity, and respect. Our trained carers understand that this kind of support can feel deeply personal, and they approach every visit with patience, discretion, and genuine warmth.
Whether the individual needs help with bathing and dressing, continence care, or the safe administration of medication, every task is carried out in line with the individual’s own preferences, routines, and dignity – never rushed, never impersonal.
All personal care and medication management is delivered within a co-produced written care plan, agreed with the individual and their family, and updated as needs change over time.

How We Start
Personal Care at Home in Four Simple Steps
From your first call to a carer being in place, our process is designed to be clear, fast, and focused on getting things right for the individual from day one.
1
Free Needs Assessment
We meet the individual at home to understand their personal care needs, preferences, medical conditions, daily routine, and any specific requirements around dignity and privacy.
2
Co-produced Care Plan
We work with the individual and their family to create a detailed care plan specifying exactly how personal care should be delivered – step by step, in their own words and preferences.
3
Carer Matching
We carefully select a carer based on skills, personality, and where relevant, gender preference, language, and cultural background – then introduce them before care begins.
4
Care Begins and Is Monitored
Care starts to the agreed plan. Our management team monitors quality through spot checks, care records, and regular communication with the individual and their family.

Common Questions
Personal Care FAQs
Can I request a carer of a specific gender?
Yes – we always ask about gender preference during the assessment and do our best to accommodate this. For personal care in particular, we recognise that many individuals feel more comfortable with a carer of the same gender, and we fully respect and support this preference.
Are all carers trained to administer medication?
Not all carers administer medication – this responsibility is only given to carers who have completed specific medication training and written assessment. The care plan clearly specifies who is authorised to support with medication. All medication support is documented on a Medication Administration Record (MAR chart) during every visit.
What if the individual refuses personal care during a visit?
Individuals always have the right to refuse care on any given day. Our carers are trained to respond respectfully to refusals – they will never force or rush personal care. Any refusal is noted in the care record and escalated to our management team who will follow up with the individual and their family.
How do you ensure privacy and dignity during personal care?
Privacy and dignity are built into every aspect of our personal care training and practice. Carers always knock before entering a room, use appropriate coverings during care, minimise exposure, follow the individual’s preferred routine and pace, and never discuss personal care details with anyone not involved in the individual’s care.
Who do I contact if I have a concern about the care provided?
You can contact our management team directly on 07510 916481 at any time. All concerns are logged, investigated promptly, and responded to in writing. If you have a safeguarding concern, we can support you in reporting this to the appropriate authority.
Do you support with end-of-life personal care?
Yes. We provide compassionate personal care for individuals at the end of life who wish to remain at home. Our carers work alongside community palliative care teams, district nurses, and hospice-at-home services to ensure the individual is comfortable, dignified, and surrounded by those they love.
